Lately I've been having headaches, both literally and figuratively. Now people tell me not to take things personally, but I was raised with a strong work ethic. If you are told to do something you do it. If there are rules you following them and you also help enforce them. However, at my current job rules that use to be enforce no longer are seeming to be enforced. I do not know why now they aren't, but I know if I didn't follow them I'd get a lectured, but new people don't even seem to get a slap on the wrist. It annoys me and bothers me, because I no longer trust or count on any of my supervisors. There are maybe one or two I do and I have expressed my opinions to, but now I'm not so sure I want to deal with it anymore.
I use to have fun and enjoy working. Now most times I dread it. One supervisor said to me if you aren't enjoying it anymore maybe it's time to move on, and I think he's right. One reason I stayed with the company I work for instead of jumping ship was because I liked my fellow coworkers. Now either a lot of them have quit or I rarely see them. Ever since one of the managers quit, whom I was pretty good friends with, the company seems like it's gone down hell and it's do whatever you want.
I think after next week I'm going to take a seriously needed break. I really need to spend time with my family and think about things and give me some room to breathe. I haven't visited my grandma in over a month and I think I need to make up for that. Plus I know my mom's annoyed with the fact that I haven't been up there.
If they decide they are going to fire me because I need to take a break, then so be it. There are other jobs in this world and I'm sure now that I have something that shows I've worked for a company for a lengthy amount of time I won't have as much trouble as I did before.

State Fair And Wrestling
August has been pretty busy month of fun activities that I've gotten to do. Not last week but the week before I went to the Missouri State Fair. Main reason was to see Jason Jones perform and secondly it was two dollar Thursday. Saw your usual State Fair type stuff. Got my favorite mesquite chicken to eat and lots of free goodies. The interesting thing I found was a like this matted David Cook college that was selling for 15 bucks. I didn't have any cash so I didn't buy it.
Well as we walked around and it started to get closer to time for Jason Jones to perform on the Bud Stage it started to get clouded and it looked like it was going to rain. So my mom and I decided to head over and sit down where he was going to peform. I went to the restroom and came back and they were still doing their sound check then about a minute or so later. It started to down pour big time. Here we are sitting under a tent in the front row in metal folding chairs, which weren't to comfortable, right next to a huge metal pole that was holding the tent up.
Jason came on and he was awesome. I really enjoyed this show better than the last time, maybe because this time I was close and I could sit down. Hopefully I got some good pictures. He only played for an hour, which sucks but I couldn't come for the nights he was playing for longer. After he performed I went and had him sign a picture I took of him from the American Royal Rib America Festival I went and I got a picture with him and a hug. To say the least I was very happy. Top that off with the fact that it had stopped raining so when we went to leave and headed back to the car we didn't get wet. It was awesome it rained and I didn't even get remotely wet.
Now this past weekend I went out to Topeka, KS to see TNA Wrestling. This was the first time I've ever went to a live event of their's and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Normally I do not watch TNA. I tried when we use to have access to satellite channels to watch it on Spike, but I just never could get into it. So you are probably wondering why they heck would I pay to go see something I don't really care for. Well I had recieved an email about a presale to this event from the Kansas Expocentre, probably because I've gone their three times for WWE events in the past. Well on the day of the presale I went to see what kind of ticket I could get. Well to my amazement, and this was like 30 minutes or so after the presale had started, I got a first row ticket. When I saw that I was like well at least people won't be standing up in front of me or having some huge ridiculous sign up so I can't see, So I purchased the ticket.
The next day after I bought the ticket I found out one of my favorite bands were going to be in town the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and I got mad at myself. However, after attending the TNA event this past Saturday I can say I'm not as mad. I haven't enjoyed a wrestling show like this since a year ago When RAW was in Topeka before Survivor Series and we got one of the best RAW shows in a long time with a line up of the Hardys, HHH, Rey Mysterio, Batista, and the Undertaker all on the same card. Anyhow the show itself was great, it consisted of actual wrestling matches and not some 6 minute matched that really served no purpose.
I was very impressed with that fact the women's match was an actual match and no some little short little bit and that fact that crowded really seemed it. In fact it seemed like everyone in attendance were really into all of the matches. The thing that impressed me the most was after the show was over a lot of babyfaces came out and signed autographs and took pictures with fans. I've never been to any wrestling show where they come back out and do this. Also if you had $20 you could get your picture taken with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in the ring. If I had just had some cash on me I so would have done it, especially since these were the two wrestlers I was really interested in watching besides Taylor Wilde. Overall TNA has won me over when it comes to live events. Next time they come nearby I'm so there.
WWE should probably take a lesson from TNA when it comes to house shows. Maybe fans would enjoy them more if some of the wrestlers actually signed autographs and acted like they cared about the fans instead of just showing up going through the motions and leaving and ignoring fans when they leave the arena. The TNA wrestlers I saw this past Saturday seemed to care about what they were doing and the support of the fans who paid the money to see them. Maybe one day WWE wrestlers will be like that, but I won't hold my breathe.
Well that's it for now. This week is the big American Idol Live weekend. I got a ticket for Friday's show and I'm going to try to snag one for Saturday. I'm going to be volunteering for the David-Cook.org foundraiser for the American Cancer Society at the Power and Light District that after from 3-5pm you should come down, there will be some live music and some raffles and etc. And if you wish to donate to the American Cancer Society and help me reach my foundraising goal click here

Is It Just ME or Am I INSANELY Lazy?
I've been sitting pratically all afternoon just sort of doing nothing. I've come to the conclusion I'm insanely lazy. I'm not afraid to admit it, I'm not proud of it but that's what I am and is probably why I am in the place I am at in my life at this moment in time. I've tried to be motivated, but motivation only seems to work for a couple of hours and then in slowly fades. Or I do something and then I lose my train of thought and move onto something else.
So I seriously am going to try to change this. I'm going to pick a day and I'm going to try change my lazy ways along with some other things about me I'd like to change.
One of the things I'm going to do is be more involved with charities and causes I feel passionate about. What got me started with this was the way everyone started to rally around any efforts about supporting education and prevention of cancer one people found out David Cook, a guy who was two years behind me high school, brother had brain cancer. So I figured if a fellow alumus can cause so many people to take action to help out the cause that maybe I should finally instead of just donating should try to motivate other people to make donations and to help the cause. So I've joined David-Cook.org for the sport your support challenge where donations will be made in David's honor to the American Cancer Society. Here is my link to give donations for the David-Cook.org Sport You Support Challenge Even if you could only donate a penny still go over there and make a donation. Any amount helps and I'll greatly appreciate it either way.
Another organization that I have a lot of respect for is Cancer Action. This organization my family didn't find out about till near the end of my father's life was a tremendous help to our family and we wish we would have found out about them much sooner. They deal more with helping cancer patients and families get through the trying times. Which I think until cures our found should be more of a priority.
I mean American Cancer Society is great, but there will never be a cure for cancer until the Goverment and in particular the FDA get their butts in gear. Plus if we get doctors,Phamacutical companies and insurance companies who have the mentality to make money instead of actually curing things instead of treating them and making them managable so that you continually have to go back and pay more and more money until they drain you dry. I'm sorry that might sound negative, but I've lost a lot of faith in the medical community in general.
Now jumping to a whole other subject. I think later this coming week I'm going to go into CVS to go get my wrestling pictures from May developed finally. I hope they come out good. I was four rows away so they should come out half way decent. As people who know me, know I love taking pictures and I always am hard on myself if they don't turn out they way I thought they should. I still use a 35mm camera and people tell me I need to get a digital but anytime I use a digital they come out super crappy. Until I can find a kickass digital that has amazing zoom and doesn't get pictures blurry when I'm taking them and is also affordable maybe I'll get a digital until then I'll stick with the 35mm camera.
I'd like to get these rolls in the process of being developed before I take more pictures like when I go to the State Fair on Thursday to see Jason Jones. Who is Jason Jones? Well he is a country singer I saw at the Rib America Fest a while back and really enjoyed. Hopefully this time I can buy a CD and maybe a shirt. Maybe I'll have him sign one of the pictures I took at Rib America Fest.
Plus then I have TNA Wrestling and American Idol concerts I'll be going to later this month that I'll definately be taking tons of pictures at both. I'm excited for both. I've never really gotten into TNA so maybe seeing it live it will be more interesting to me. I think maybe it's the Octagon ring I don't think to highly of. Also I've never been to an American Idol concert, even though I love Kelly Clarkson. When KC won I was still in Cali so I didn't go to the AI tour because I didn't want to go to the Anaheim Pond by myself. I'm excited about the AI concert even though I'm only going to see David Cook and he's only going to be like singing 5songs but I just wanted to see him get to fullfill a dream of his by playing at the Sprint Center. Should be a cool moment.

Memories and Fish, REEL BIG that is.
As I got scheduled today for The Warped Tour on Wednesday and getting excited about possibly maybe hearing one of my favorite bands, Reel Big Fish, it sent me down memory lane.
See my friends I wasn't always a Reel Big Fish fan. Back in I believe 1996, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but really is anyone who know me reading this? I digress, as I was saying I was a huge No Doubt fan, and I still am to this day, and I professed my love of No Doubt to anyone and everyone who I came across especially at school. Well I believe it was sophmore year there was a new girl in Orchestra class by the name of Erica Waddell. She was so different than most any person I've known, she was kind to everyone and truely the most awesomest person in the world.
Well that year for my 16th birthday I believe I invited Erica. As I was opening up my gifts which I can't really remember what anyone else got me that year it's all sort of a blur now, except for that fact I remember it took place at Heroes in Lee's Summit which no longer exist, Erica gave me what at the time I thought was a bizarre gift to get me. She got me Reel Big Fish's CD Turn Off the Radio. I had never heard of Reel Big Fish did not know what kind of music they played or anything. Erica told me they were a ska band and were way better than No Doubt, she had issues with No Doubt don't ask me what they are cause I don't know but she never really got why I loved them so much. She also told me that she thought I would really enjoy them. So I thought this is Erica Waddell the coolest person I've ever met telling me basically, and I'll put it in my own words, kick my ass so bad I'll never look back.
So I gave the CD a listen and it was a begining of a new love. My love of not just Reel Big Fish but of ska music in general. After I listened to the CD I told Erica that was the coolest cd ever and I greatly appreciated her giving me such a gift that totally was a suprise and not predictable and for introducing me to something new and unique. I don't know if I used those exact words but it went something along those like. On a sidenote she tried that again on my 17th birthday by giving me a CD of an artist I never heard of and that time it didn't go over so well.
Moving on I've never forgot about that gift and have never lost that exact CD unlike what I have with some of my No Doubt cds I've bought. This was the CD that made Reel Big Fish a house hold name, well at least for 1997 later know to some as the summer of ska. What I also thought was so cool was I got to hear there music before they really blew up. Then I remember seeing the video for Sell Out on M2 and thinking this band is awesome. Through RBF I got interested in the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, which then lead me to the Toasters and the lists goes on and on.
But back to Erica for a bit. That last time I had heard from her was sometime after I had gotten excepted to Champan University in the Spring of 2001 I believe. Today I went around the net searching for her and I read about that time she went missing or something like that. Then I went searching more and saw a picture of her with Bill Richardson and some blogs from 2007 about her support for him for president in 2008 and that she was living in Torance. Well I hope that was her. It looked like the Erica I remembered and always thought very highly of. If Erica Waddell is out there and is reading this I'd like to give you a shout and say thank you for the music, because music is the greatest gift anyone can give, and for being one of the coolest and kindest people I've ever met. I hope all is well with you and that you continue to be the unique, strong person who always speaks up for what you believe in. Plus makes some of the coolest clothes ever. Let's hear it for the CAUTION Jacket. I hope eventually I hear from you again my friend. Even though I haven't heard, seen or talked to you in a long time I still do consider you a friend, and friend I will never forget.

Long Time Too Much To Say
Well I haven't posted since my last birthday and so much has gone on since then. Hmm where to start.
I guess January would be a good place. I don't remember anything exciting happening except I worked quite bit.
In February went to the best concert I've ever been to Reba and Kelly Clarkson Two Worlds Two Voices Tour. I'm not lying it was the best concert I've ever been to. The music was good, it went through the highs the mellows and brought it right back up to end with good finish. I even enjoyed the music before the show started and the song that was playing to get you to leave. Plus the crowd wasn't rowdy and well behaved, at least where I was sitting. I usually get annoyed at events because either the staff aren't doing what they are suppose to do or other patrons are just being out right obnoxious. But none of that happened during this concert. Plus my sister got to meet Kelly Clarkson before the concert. Which I guess was cool, but my sister totally hosed me. She didn't remember to take her cell phone, so that maybe by some slight chance I could at least get to say yello to Miss Clarkson. You are probably wondering why yello? well usually when I answer the phone and it's my sister's number I say yello instead of hello, or I say what do you want now. But at least my sister could have done that since I was the bigger KC fan, because for this she wasn't really a fan of hers, now she's like her second favorite artist. Oh and to put even more salt in my wounds my sister gives me a picture with her and KC. GRRRRRRRRRRR.
March nothing really happened. But in April I got to see Bon Jovi twice. I'm currently working on uploading photos from the first night I saw. It was a good concert but it mellowed and sometimes didn't reach back to that high at the end of the show, especially during the second show. I still enjoyed the show very much both times, but the momentum kind of just stayed mellow to long before the last couple of upbeat songs.
Then I went to a taping of RAWon May 19th and it was ok, could have been better. I'm pissed about the way the number the seats on the floor in section B. But I've bitched enough about that to last me a lifetime and it isn't going to change things. Security were assholes before the event telling you couldn't take pictures or couldn't get autographs even though the wrestlers were waving you to come over. The show itself could have been better and my streak of seeing Mickie James wrestle live ended. BOOOOOOOOOOO.
And Last week I went to see Walking with Dinosaurs. I held out and bought my ticket the day of one of the shows. It was really something, probably would have meant more to me if I was a little kid because I wouldn't have felt so out of place with all the parents and little kids. But it was still really cool. Quite education for the little ones if they haven't learned about Dinosaurs and prehistoric life. I got me a shirt and the program. I didn't like how they didn't show them actually kill any dinosaurs, but I guess you can't really do that in front of kiddies. All in all very interesting and realistic show.
Then this past Saturday I got to work Rockfest once again. This year however I had a much better position I got to work the mainstage mix. So I got to see my boys Trapt, which was awesome because the first year I worked it and they were there I didn't get to even hear them I was too far away working the fireworks area. So it was nice to see them. I wish I could have been working where I could have said hi to them and what's up and ask about the video that was shot of me talking to them during the Headstrong video filming. I'm still looking for video of me talking to them so if you know of said video or know of the person who might have filmed it let me know because I'd really like to see it. It was a crazy 15 hours working on my feet and telling people they couldn't use the johnny on the spot behind the barricade because it was for people working behind the barricade only. All in all a good day, I just got really tired and bored at the end of the night. It's probably because of the marijuana smoke that was smarmed all around me for the most part the day that just made me extremely tired.
Oh yeah and I went to all but Power and Light District David Cook homecoming activities. Very fun and neat to see someone who went to your high school become such a celebrity and loved by so many people from all around the world. I got my ticket to the first night of the American Idol tour here in KC. My seat should be really good it's not the floor but it's close enough to the stage that my camera should get some great pictures. I'm only going to see David Cook don't really care much for any of the American Idol people.
