Well I officially won the bet on the NCAA brackets between my sister and myself. I called it after Duke, the team she picked to win it all, lost. She being determined to beat my once again waited till the game last night. None of those games helped her and she officially called it. So I won me 20 bucks. Now all I got to do is do well with the Emmy picks and I'll be in the money for a little while.
Now onto wrestling. Why might you say do I have wrestling fever? I really don't know but for some reason I'm really excited about it right now. The only match where the storyline is interesting and was built up like wrestling matches should be is the women's title match between Trish Stratus and Mickie James. It should be an intersting match, too bad they don't do PPVs on C-Band dishes, DAMN YOU VINCE MCMAHON.
I would say I'm exciting for HBK's match but quite honestly I really am not. Maybe if he was facing Shane McMahon it might be up there, but Vince McMahon isn't going to be that exciting and can't compare to his match last year with Kurt Angle. Plus I feel that storyline is rather lame. I'm thinking the Daytime Soap writers and the WWE writers need to switch places for a while maybe that would make both of the shows more interesting. Just a thought.
Anyhow back to the women's match, usually most of the time I'm disinterested in them because a vast majority of the time the females are there for T& A and nothing more but Trish and Mickie James can really go out there and work. It is going to be interesting to see how Ashley Massaro, freak I hope I spelled that last name right, comes into play during this match. What would be funny is if she would turn on Trish also, but then they'd have way too many heel women wrestlers. If they really want to make the women's division more legit and not the same old matches all the time they need to bring in maybe 3 more gals.
Another thing the WWE needs to do is bring on some real tag teams, not just two guys you decide to mush together but serious tag teams that aren't singles wrestlers. Whatever happened to the days of teams like the British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Rougeo Brothers, Demolition, Legion of Doom, Steiner Brothers, Rock N Roll Express, and The Rockers. Granted most of those tag teams split up and went into singles action but still they were tag teams for quite a while before they split up. They made a name for themselves as a team and became very successful. Why can't the WWE seem to do that anymore?
