Cash and Wrestling Fever

Well I officially won the bet on the NCAA brackets between my sister and myself. I called it after Duke, the team she picked to win it all, lost. She being determined to beat my once again waited till the game last night. None of those games helped her and she officially called it. So I won me 20 bucks. Now all I got to do is do well with the Emmy picks and I'll be in the money for a little while.

Now onto wrestling. Why might you say do I have wrestling fever? I really don't know but for some reason I'm really excited about it right now. The only match where the storyline is interesting and was built up like wrestling matches should be is the women's title match between Trish Stratus and Mickie James. It should be an intersting match, too bad they don't do PPVs on C-Band dishes, DAMN YOU VINCE MCMAHON.

I would say I'm exciting for HBK's match but quite honestly I really am not. Maybe if he was facing Shane McMahon it might be up there, but Vince McMahon isn't going to be that exciting and can't compare to his match last year with Kurt Angle. Plus I feel that storyline is rather lame. I'm thinking the Daytime Soap writers and the WWE writers need to switch places for a while maybe that would make both of the shows more interesting. Just a thought.

Anyhow back to the women's match, usually most of the time I'm disinterested in them because a vast majority of the time the females are there for T& A and nothing more but Trish and Mickie James can really go out there and work. It is going to be interesting to see how Ashley Massaro, freak I hope I spelled that last name right, comes into play during this match. What would be funny is if she would turn on Trish also, but then they'd have way too many heel women wrestlers. If they really want to make the women's division more legit and not the same old matches all the time they need to bring in maybe 3 more gals.

Another thing the WWE needs to do is bring on some real tag teams, not just two guys you decide to mush together but serious tag teams that aren't singles wrestlers. Whatever happened to the days of teams like the British Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Rougeo Brothers, Demolition, Legion of Doom, Steiner Brothers, Rock N Roll Express, and The Rockers. Granted most of those tag teams split up and went into singles action but still they were tag teams for quite a while before they split up. They made a name for themselves as a team and became very successful. Why can't the WWE seem to do that anymore?

Rockn' Into The Night

I'm finally updating for once. Last night I went to a Music Listening Discussion group for MaxFM. It was rather fun I never knew that you could listen to 637 all within a span of about 2 hours. Granted it was just little clips of the songs. We got free Pizza and soda, but I just sticked with the water, and 50 bucks for our time. So if you are in the Kansas City area and you like rock music go over to their site and fill out the form and you can get to do this too, they are looking for about 44 more people before they cut off doing this so get to doing it now.

By the time we finished it was 9 pm and on my way home driving on Metcalf to get to 435 I saw a shooting star. I mean I've seen Meteorite showers and comets and all but never a real shooting star. It was an awesome site to see especially when I had just flipped on my Trapt CD.

Speaking of which I think I'm getting closer to finding that video I was being filmed in during Trapt's music video shoot of Headstrong. Some guy on myspace a while back message me about checking out some videos he took of some of Trapt's concert. So of course I asked the guy if he was the one who was filming at the video shoot, but he said no but the guy who did is a friend of his named Dom and he's on his buddy list now I have to go through the buddy list and find him cause I really want to see the video footage he shot of all the behind the scenes stuff during the video shoot including me talking to band which I hope he didn't like edit out. Cause we had a really good conversation.

Nothing Better To Do

Recently I've gotten severely bored and have done random stuff. Like get on our bikes and ride them up and down right in front of the house. MY moutain bike's front break squeaks and on my dad's bike my jeans kept getting caught in the chain. But it was fun none the least. It was also good to know that saying about once you ride a bike you never forget really holds true. I hadn't ridden a real bike since like middle school, so it was good to know I can still do that. Although riding it up the driveway just was not happening.

I also watched some old Wrestlemanias. My mom bought me the first part of the Wrestlemania Trilogy, which she really didn't need to since I have them all, but hey it's DVDs. Some things were edited like music being blasted over what was originally playing. I think that's dumb cause the ones that were didn't sound like ones that would have a copyright. Oh well, it was just good to see old school wrestling, the wrestling I really enjoyed. Very simple storylines that were all driven by sex, or other adult themes. Not that I mind that but I think it's come to the point where it's gone a bit overboard. I mean if you already seen it once why do you need to see it a bizillion times again.

Anyhow, anyone know any good relaxing music? I'm in the need of some good relaxing music to go to sleep to. The radio station just aren't doing it for me anymore. They always end up throwing some song in about 2 am in the morning like Living La Vida Loca are something really peppy like that causing me to toss and turn all night. So if you know of any good music to kick back and relax to, and is good to sleep to let me know I'd greatly appreciate it.
