My Cali Trip Part 2

Ok I'm back with my part 2 to my California trip. So Saturday came and we got up and got ready for our day. If I remember correctly I had the Chewy chocolate chip granola bar I had left over from the plane and my mom had some poppy seed muffins she had left that she forgot to eat at the airport.

We then headed off to Walmart to find gift bag for my graduation gift for CJ and a card. Well I found a card but not a gift bag that really fit most of them were really girly. So then I suggested we go to Hallmark store maybe they'd have better ones. Well they did but also they had a better graduation card, but it was ok I had already bought a card. Then since we were already at the Block at Orange we walked around a bit.

I remembered earlier my mom said she was going to need another bag to carry on the plan cause she was going to have to put her bag she had under the plan. So I saw luggage bags at Hilo Hattie. We looked around at the bags and my mother decided to buy two one a tote and the other a duffle bag. We then went on looking around the store and I was looking at all the palm tree stuff, because if you didn't know I'm like obsessed with palm trees. Cause if it has palm trees it must be cool. Anyhow we went to the registered and paid for the bags and the lady talked to us for a bit and gave us pooka shell necklaces, which suprised me. We then went on our way to meet CJ over in the resident parking lot.

We got there and made sure we had everything ready and I called CJ and then went out to meet him over in the apartment area. We got in the car and headed over to Claim Jumper. CJ wanted to go somewhere that we didn't have back in Missouri. The food there was really good I had a half of a chicken with fries and cheese bread. It was sort of pricey but the food was worth it. My mom had Salmon and CJ had country fried steak with mash potatoes. It was really good.

We talked about what new stuff was happening at Chapman and things they are going to be changing in the future. But one of the highlights was I finally found out what CJ stands for. Drumroll please. It stands for Christopher John. I thought it was going to stand for some strange name that he didn't like. He said that's just what they always have called him and he just stuck with that. In fact he told us his younger brother didn't even know till he was 6 years because one day he heard his mother say Christopher John and he was like who is that. I found that a bit amusing. Then I gave him my gift, it was a silver ID bracelet with CJ on the front and the date and my name on the back in script. It also came with a case where I had his full intials inscribed on it. He put it on and said he was never going to take it off. I think he said that because he was having a hard time getting it on. He seemed to really like it. So after all that thinking of gift I think it paid off. We then took a picture and left and headed back to campus.

When we got back on campus we went to CJ's apartment and looked around. It was really nice sized apartment. We also checked out his room and he had like artistic posters in his room quite a change from the first year he stayed in the dorm and had the two girls kissing poster, a beatles poster and some other rock band posters I can't remember right now off the top of my head. We then took another picture and said our goodbyes and hugs and told him we'd see him after the graduation.

We then went back to the room and watched Food Network. My mom fell asleep but I kept watching then I changed into some kahkis and a nice polo shirt. Evenutally my mom got up and we left and headed over to the Campus to get our seats for our graduations. We got in there and sat for a while in the blazing hot sun. It was good graduation some moments could have been cut down or completely cut out though. Max Weinberg was really good way better than the guy who spoke at our graduation who was a member of the faculty. We then met up with CJ afterwards. Apparently his family decided to go back to his grandparents and told him to meet them there so we took another picture hugged and said our goodbyes and said we talked through email or the phone.

Then after that we headed over to Mimis by Disneyland. They have way better service there in California than the one over by the Oak Park mall which has the most god awful service of any place I've ever been to. I had something different for once I had the Chicken I forgot the rest of the name of it but I'll remember it later for sure. It was really good it had mushrooms and I had french fries with it and it came with a salad it was really good. After we got done there we headed back to the hotel and watched some TV and I just sort of crashed.

I had to go to the bathroom at about 12 am so I got up, but I wasn't quite awake. So I sat on the toliet and did what I needed to do but then I went to go for the toliet paper roll and all of a sudden this huge cock roach the size of my middle finger came out of the paper holder and I got up and was screaming because once again I remind you I wasn't quite awake and so that really took me off guard plus I had nothing around to kill it with. It woke my mom up and she wanted to know what was going on and I told her and she went in and couldn't believe it. It first snuck between the back of the tank and the wall and we couldn't get to it then i got something and moved it out fo the way and my mom eventually killed it.. But jeez that was the most disgusting thing I'd ever seen and had ever happened to me. Eventually I got back to sleep but jeez all I kept seeing was this big cock roach with it's antennas.

Well we got up in the morning and got everything ready in all of our bags and then checked out. My mom complained about the cock roach but the guy at the desk said well the weather we are having. What an dumb thing to say he could have been a bit nicer. My mom said he wasn't the usual guy there who is Main Manager. We then left and headed to Jamba Juice.

At Jamba Juice this time I got my other favorite the Banana Berry with an energy boost. Suprisingly my mom decided to get one she got the Citrus Squeeze with an energy boost. Then we went over to the Santa Ana Mainplace Mall and walked around. After we did that we headed to the airport for our flight to Salt Lake City for our 2 hour lay over before we got on our plane to head back to Kansas City. That is all the events of my LA trip and tomorrow I'll have some exciting stories about the Reba concert and things that have been happening at home.

My Trip to Cali

Yes I'm finally back to where I have internet access. Woohoo so now I can tell you all that I did in California not this past weekend but the weekend before. As many of you know, unless you haven't read my blog or talked to me, I went to California for my friend CJ's graduation.

We flew in that Thursday afternoon into John Wayne Airport. Our bag that we had checked was the 5th one to come out, that's a first usually our bags are always like the last ones to come on the carousel. Then we went over to the National Rent A Car area and got our rental car. The lady at the desk was very nice and we chatted with her for a bit about the shootings on the freeways in So Cal and about the expenses of living in Southern California I think she was one of the nicest people I've ever met at an airport let alone at the rental car place. Usually at the rental car places the people aren't very talkative.

So once we got our Chevy Malibu we headed hotel. Yes I know I said the first place I'd be stopping at would be Jamba Juice but that didn't pan out exactly. So once we got everything in our room my mother was hungry and really wanted to go to Islands. So I decided I'd wait on the Jamba Juice till later. Seeing as it was around 2 pm I figured I'd just get it at night. So we went to the Islands in Fountain Valley or maybe it's Huntington Beach. First we had to wait 5 minutes for a table which I thought was rather dumb since there were tons of empty tables available. Then once we got seated we were waited on by a complete ass. He rarely came back to check on us, yet he passed our table like a bizillion times. He was more concerned with this table who mostly likely weren't going to give him much of a tip cause they were like sharing 2 meals for 4 people. So when my mother left a tip it wasn't the full tip he would have gotten if he would have been more competant. Cause if you don't refill my glass promptly before I die of thirst you aren't going to get much of anything.

Then we headed back to the hotel and we decided we head up to LA to go to the Hard Rock Cafe's in the area to get stuff. So we headed over to Beverly Center to the Hard Rock Cafe Los Angelos. On the way over there, I was looking in the rear view mirror and I think I saw someone who use to be on a Soap Opera, I wonder if any of you can guess who I think it might have been hahaha :D. The female was driving this silver 4 door car that looked like how a lot of those Honda's and VW 4 door cars look like but it wasn't either of those because the emblem on the car wasn't like those and was hard to explain. My mom tried to look but the damn headrest were in the way. I kept looking in the rear view mirror and the side view mirror because she was right behind us. I think she caught on that I was trying to figure out who she was cause she sort of tilted her head a bit, then she picked up her cellphone and made a call. She then moved over to the left turn lane and I still couldn't get a better look at her car or good close look at her for a matter of fact. But if it is who I think it is they have dyed their hair since the last time they've been seen on TV. I do remember she turned 2 streets before the Beverly Center.

Well Anyhow we get into the Beverly Center and it's a bit confusing. But we eventually park and go down the escalators. We walk over to the Hard Rock Cafe and buy a bunch of tshirts and etc. We got a free pin collectors book and pin for each purchase of 50 dollars or more. We then get on the escalators and get off at the floor my mom said we were on. We went over to the row where we parked our car and we couldn't find it. We looked up and down it 5 or more times and there must be a bizillion silver 4 door cars that look similar to malibus. Well we searched and searched and couldn't find it. We thought the car had been stolen. Well I was freaking out cause I was like I seriously don't want to disturb CJ from study from finals to come up all the way to LA to pick us up. We get on the sercurity phone after we double checked the row again and went around the whole floor just in case. so far we had been there for like and hour looking. Security guy come and we get in the vehicle and we look down the row with him. No luck so he suggests we go to the lower level. We do that and check the side we were sure we parked in and no such luck on that level. He then decides to take us to the floor above the floor he picked us up on and we went to the row we had searched on the other floors and bingo we had just accidently gone up enough levels.

So then after all that drama my mom drove me over to the Block so I could get my Jamba Juice. I ordered a Power Sized Razzmatazz with an energy boost, and it was mmm mmm mmmm mmm goooooooooooooood. I missed it so much. Then when we got back to the room we watched the Food Network and they were showing Iron Chef America. Since we don't have the Food Network at home we decided we should watch it because why watch stuff you can watch at home?

Friday morning came upon us and we were going to havea full day. First we went an ate breakfast at Watson's. Then once we were done we headed up the the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal City Walk. This time when we parked we wrote down which level and section we were parked in. But we really didn't need to cause we were parked on the level right where you come in at. We went over to the Hard Rock and went through the store. They had this Elivis tshirt my mom wanted but they only had one left and it was a medium, my mom was so mad. There for ever 50 dollars you purchased you got a leather fanny pack. So we got two and that was cool. So after we got our stuff I suggested we look around at the other stores. We went to the Nascar store and I bought a hat. Then we went over to the Universal stores and bought a few shirts. Then after that we left and headed over to Hollywood and Highland.

The first thing we did when we got there was get our tickets for the Kodak Theater Tour. The interesting thing about the tour was they were setting up for the American Idol Finals so that sort of interesting. The tour guide was really cool I forgot what his name was but he was awesome. The tour was really interesting and I enjoyed it. After that we went over to the hand and foot prints in front of the Graumann's Chinese Theater. Apparently Adam Sandler just recently did his so it was front and center with velet ropes around it. My mom looked and searched for people. Then we went and looked at some of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of fame and saw Susan Lucci's star cause last time I was in Cali it wasn't there. After that we headed back to Orange County. We were going to go straight to Hard Rock Cafe in Newport but I got a phone call along the way and we decided to head back to hotel so I could listen to the message from the caller.

We get to the hotel and I find out it was CJ. But also apparently he had called me on Wednesday and I didn't get the message till then. So I called him back and and finally got a hold of him. He told me his schedule and when he could hang out. He told me to call him back later so we can arrange when to meet up and where to go and all because right then he had to do room check outs from 4pm till 11pm.

So we headed over to the Hard Rock Cafe in Newport Beach. I got mixed up along the way cause I didn't have great directions on my but I eventually figured a way there. We ate and then got some tshirts. They didn't have too many cool tshirts so we didn't buy too much there, and they didn't give and free stuff away either. So that sort of sucked. Then we headed back to the hotel. I called CJ and we arranged the time and meet up for lunch on Saturday. then I called my sister because I knew the Emmys were live back home and she could update me on our bet and what was going on, on the show.

Well I called at about a good time because not but maybe a minute or so after they were announcing the winner for best Younger Actress in a Daytime Drama so I actually did get to hear Eden when live. I was a bit worried when they had the pause before they annouce the winner. But when I heard her name I was like yes and I was jumpy up and down on the bed and I said finally she won thank god. I stayed on the phone a little longer and heard some other winners and then we ended the conversation because I didn't need to know everything before I'd get to watch it on TV at the hotel.

So we had to watch some dumb show before it came on I don't remember what it was but it was on another channel then we watched the Emmys. I must say I'm a little dissapointed with some of it. Not just cause I lost the bet with my sister but because how the hell could General Hospital win over All My Children who gives a flying fuck about Hotel burning that they had cheesy visual effects for and dragged out for weeks. Plus they have the hotel back again just changed the freaking name of it. Anyhow that's just my beef with the show. And seriously someone needed to give David Lago the hook, the do was obviously on something with his sort of impersonation of Andrew Dice Clay.

There is much more to tall about my trip but I figure I've written a lot down and it might be too much to take in. So I'll type up the events of Saturday and Sunday in my next post.

3 More Days

Well it's 3 more days till I leave to head out to California for, my friend, CJ's graduation. I still got to pick out my clothes and all for out there. I also need to call CJ also to see if he has his schedule yet for this week, so we can hang out sometime during my stay. I did figure out a gift for him, but I don't know if I'll be able to find it or get it in time.

I also have been doing two work outs day to make up for the time I will miss doing my workouts. So far I'm down 17.5 pounds since I've started a few months ago. I know it's not much but you got to consider we are talking about me, I'm a little slow you know, hahaha.

Hopefully in some of the free time we will have we will either get to go to Disney's California Adventure or go up to the Mann's Chinese Theater and all the handprints and footprints. Maybe there will be some tour going on when we are there.

One More Week

Well I'm one week away from heading out to California for my friend CJ's graduation and I still haven't gotten him a gift yet, or even come up with and idea of what to get him. It's so fustrating. What do you get a guy from California who is going to grad school that he would actually get some use out of? So please I'm begging anyone who reads this help me come up with some idea of what to get him.

I have so many things to do also besides that before we leave. I really need to clean up my room and around my computer. Just so I at least have everything organized. I honestly just really need to get more organized. I just have so much stuff.

Other than I'm really excited about going to California, but more importantly I'm really excited about . . . . JAMBA JUICE!!!!!!!! Yep that's right the one thing I miss so much is my Jamba Juice, and right when I get there the first place we are heading to is Jamba Juice so I can get me a Razzmataz with an immunity boost. Mmmm Mmm Good. Look out Jamba Juice on Main Street I'm coming in about One Week.

Branson

Well today my mom dragged me to Branson, MO. Our first stop was in Springfield at Lambert's cafe at the home of the thrown rolls. Yes this place has good food and you can have like refills not just on drinks but on some of your food items. I never do that but my mom always does with their catfish. I'd highly recomend going there just because it's fun trying to catch really hot rolls from some guy across the room.

Then we head to Silver Dollar City. Right now they are have the International Celebration, which is where they have all these things from different countries from all around the world. My mom wanting to watch the Irish stuff. We got there after one of their shows had already started so we only saw about 20 minutes of it. It was ok but we were standing so far away I couldn't really get into it plus we had to stand. After that we went over to the other side of the park. I road Fire in the Hole, by myself, it's a pretty lame ride but it's fun anyway. Then we went over to see the new rollercoaster they have. IT took the place of the old rollercoaster/water ride they had. This thing like had propane that jets you up the hill. It's pretty cool looking. They were testing it while I was there. But people were lining up to ride it. So I'm assuming they were going to open up later on in the day or something. Then we went over to look at the other rollercoast Wildfire. It's a loop rollercoaster where you feet hang out but the thing the cars are connected to are underneath you. I didn't ride it cause it's 4 people across and I would have had to ride by myself and I just wasn't up for it today. Then after that we went back to the other side of the park so my mom could by some of the candy and I went over to ride Thunderation and that was fun as usual. Then as we were leaving I bought some nifty tshirts.

After Silver Dollar City we headed to the outlet malls. Got some new underwear, woohoo what fun. But then we went to this music story and I bought me some 90's compliation CDs. You probably all think I'm weird for buying 90's compilation CDs, but hey I think I had more fun in the 90's then I have ever had, no offense to anyone. But seriously some of the funniest, and happiest times I remember were in the 90's. So of course the music I'm going to love an adore.

Then after that we left to head back home. What a fun drive. But anyway apparently I got a phone call, but I never heard it ring or feel it vibrate. But it said the call was from May 3 not today, so either date on my phone is wrong or my phone isn't giving me my messages when they are suppose to. Anyhow it was CJ and he left a voice message, how cool is that? I can say he is more reliable than Justin Bruening. Who needs a soap star to call you ages after he could have already called, and called on an actual day that I said I could take phone calls (I'm not bitter not bitter at all, hahaha), when you got a great reliable nice guy like CJ. Well anyways he seemed really excited that I called and that my mom and I are coming out for his graduation. That's good thing, I hope. He told me he'd call back tomorrow if my phone had the wrong date. I called back and got voicemail again so I left another message explaining that I think my phone is acting wacky. Anyhow I still haven't figured out what I'm going to get him. So if anyone has any ideas what I should get him for a graduation gift let me know. I'll love you for it.

No PPVs and Starting the Next round.

Well well, another day. Learned yesterday that C-Band dishes are no longer carrying any WWE PPV, for those of you who aren't familar WWE= World Wrestling Entertainment and PPV= Pay Per View, because apparently it was costing the WWE too much and not enough C-Band dish owners were buying it. So I'm really peaved because I missed Shawn Michaels on PPV, this is the first time since we've had the dish and I was at home that I've missed a PPV he's been on. The only reason we got the dish in the first place was so I could get the WWE PPVs, and it was less expensive than cable. So this means we must now get a small satellite dish, grr, but however my sister must get her new computer before my mom will buy one. However, she did say we weren't going to get rid of our big old C-Band dish, because if that were to happen, then I wouldn't see anymore wildfeeds.

Now moving on, I'm no going into my next round of the Slim in 6 program. I didn't really lose many inches, however I did lose 17 pounds to date since I started working out with this program. I've also noticed my jeans and shorts fitting a little looser so that's good. It might not be much, but ever little thing adds up.

Speaking of adding up, tonight I'm going to be rolling up coins because I need money in my bank account. Hopefully I'll have enough to cover, or at least help out with my last Discover card bill.

Sometime this week I'm going to be putting up some lovely WWE posters on Ebay. I need the money people to help pay for other things so once I do that I'll put the link up. I also still have a No Doubt OC Weekly I need to get rid of, so if anyone is interested in any of those things let me know now before I put them up on EBAY.
