Busy Week

This past week I worked Avenue Q at the Music Hall Tuesday & Wednesday. Then went to see Garth Brooks on Thursday night. Then worked Avenue Q again Friday, Saturday (2 performances), and Sunday (2 performances). Then last night I went out to Topeka for a taping of Monday Night RAW. So to say I'm tired would be an understatement.

I think I haven't gone to bed in the last few days till at least 2 am if not later. I mean sometimes when you get home from things you are still amped from whatever you are doing if you try to go to sleep you can't because you are thinking about whatever you just got back from.

Oh I also forgot to mention on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday after I got finished working I had to wait about an hour or so for my sister. Why would I be waiting on my sister you might ask. Well she works at the Sprint Center doing Guest Services and the Music Hall is about 6 blocks away so we carpooled. Well she was working the Garth Brooks concerts so I had to wait till that got finished and they cleared the building.

Although it did give me some me time to myself and ended up finishing Chris Jericho's Book a Lion Tale : Around the World in Spandex, which I think I'll go in full depth about him in another post later. It's rather interesting watching people in downtown Kansas City late it at night. It also can be rather scary. You don't know how many people I saw either going through red lights or making left turns on a red light, or making turns at red lights where the sign clearly states no right turns on RED. What's wrong with people did they not read laws of the road? Hopefully one day those people will get tickets for their stupidity.

Speaking of stupidity. When a sign say No Food Or Drink Inside Theater and you have looked at it, It means No Food or Drink Inside Theater. Yes, that includes water. It's one thing if you didn't notice the sign but when you have looked at the sign and the sign is pratically everywhere, why or why would you try to bring it in? It's kind of like at KU where is on the doors it says GENERAL ENTRANCE and you have students coming over with there IDs trying to get in and you know they looked at the door. General Entrance means General People, not students.

Other than that at the musical things went smoothly. No real big problems that I had to deal with. Although I really don't understand after all the warnings they gave about Avenue Q Why there were still parents who were bringing their children to this is beyond me.

Now on to the Garth Brooks concert on Thursday. First of I want to talk about my seat. It was in 217 ROW 15. Now I've sat any many upper deck seats before but this was pretty scary. We were in the last row of the upper deck and the pitch on the upper deck was so steep I about pissed my pants. Other bad thing was our seats were in the middle of the freaking row. Now for all you who don't know back in 99 at Kemper Arena I went to a WWE PPV and was in the upper deck and witness Owen Hart fall to his death from the top of the building. So anytime I'm up high I'm weary, anytime I see people doing lighting or anything where they are hooked to something up high I get weary. Well these seats were higher or about the same height from where Owen fell at Kemper. Sprint Center may have less seats but it's a lot taller building. So once I sat in my seat I did not move from my seat.
