I know I know I've been lacking on updates recently. But in actuality I don't know if anyone really reads this. Anyhow I'll keep posting on here anyway.
Well July 4th weekend I worked the races. It was a good 3 days of helping direct people to parking at the Kansas Speedway. I got to work the tunnel which is really cool because that's where a lot of the drivers and race teams come in. In fact on Sunday one of the people from IRL had some cold passes he wasn't going to use so he gave them to me. I went to check out what that was and it's a pit pass but the cold ones aren't as good as the hot ones. I picked one up and I gave the other two to the security guy who helped explain what it entailed to me. So I did my good deed for the year, hahaha. Anyhow I never got off in time to use it cause by the time I was done working the race was already 10 laps in. But now I will have a souvenir. I worked a total of about 29 hours the whole weekend. So I should be seeing a nice paycheck in a couple of weeks.
I think for the Nextel races I'll also work the egress if I'm not too tired. But that's a ways away so there.
Anyhow the fourth was awesome I certainly got my money's worth with all the fireworks I bought. A lot of them went way up in there air and I didn't even know that's how high they were going to go. We bought some from Crazy Harry's those are the ones my mother paid for. Then I went out to Bates City to Fireworks World because they were ahving this deal if you brought in 5 can goods before the July 1st for Harvesters you got a free 20 dollar assortment of fireworks. So I went and got rid of some cans, but man they had a lot of good deals so I bought a whole bunch from them. then after the races I stopped by the Godzilla Fireworks Tent near the exit of 291 and 210. I bought me an assortment pack. It was really good for the price I think next year if I stop there I'll buy the bigger assortment pack because the one I bought had a bunch of really small cones and I'm not saying they were bad but they were really small and rather odd.
I should have some pictures of the fireworks I shot off sometime soon, just depends on when they get developed.
In other good news I've lost about 27 pounds. I start my new work out routine today called Power 90. Hopefully this program will help me really shed the pounds and body fat off.
